Always find it challenging to control the fabric and sew rolled hems on lightweight and delicate fabrics? Your solution is here! The rolled hem foot provides a perfect finish, assuring you of well-made projects including fluttery dresses, scarves, tablecloth, napkins and many more!

The small scroll in the middle of the presser foot guides the raw edge of the fabric under before it passes under the needle, creating that perfect finish.

  • Stainless Steel
  • Easy to use, durable
  • Works great with lightweight materials such as voile, lawn, and chiffon or even sheer fabric.
  • Suitable for most domestic sewing machines which have snap-on presser feet. If you do not need to use a screw to attach your presser feet, then yours is a snap-on.
  • Fits: Singer, Brother, Babylock, Viking (Husky series), Euro-Pro, Janome, Kenmore, White, Juki, Bernina (Bernette Series), New Home, Necchi, Elna and more!

Note: Do not use on Singer Slant Shank models. Do not use on Janome & Janome made (Kenmore Elna) top loading bobbin sewing machines as the center needle position is different, both left to right and front to back.

HOW-TO-USE:

Use an iron to press your fabric to the wrong side by 1/8’'.Fold over another 1/8''  and press again.

TIP: If your fabric is very delicate and lightweight, you can place a small strip of tissue paper under the presser foot. This will prevent the lightweight fabric from sinking into the throat place when you begin to sew. You can also use some pins to reinforce the presses you made to keep them from running.

The wrong side of your fabric should be facing upfront. To start, tack a few straight stitches  (just 3-5)at the edge and leave long thread tails. These first few stitches make it easer for you to guide the fabric into the scroll, while long thread tails enable you to hold on to and avoid the fabric being eaten from the needle throat. This will make starting easy and smooth.

Snap on your presser foot. Place fabric under the presser foot and feed the fabric into the twisted scroll.

Use your left hand to feed the fabric, and your right hand to turn the raw edge over 4'' - 6'' before it reaches the foot as a steady, consistent way of feeding the fabric to create the rolled hem.

TIP: You may want to use tweezers to help feed the fabric if the hem is too narrow, or use spray starch on sheer materials that simply would not behave!

OTHER INTERESTING TIPS & USES!

Use the rolled hem foot with the blind stitch to make a shell edge.

Use fabric markers and draw out your designs on fabric, then sew on narrow cords using the foot with a zig zag stitch to create a design with 3D cords.

So many uses with just 1 rolled hem foot! What are you waiting for? Get yours now!
